Brief Answer:
For how long have you had this? Is it painful?

Detailed Answer:
HI and thank you so much for this query.

I have reviewed the image. The solitary sore at the base of the penis shaft is very prominent. I will like to know how long this has been going on and whether there has been any pains or not. Also, did this happen after shaving or before shaving?

While this could represent a sexually transmitted infection such as syphilis, the location seems very unlikely. I will also like to know some details about your sexual life such as number of partners in the last 12months, condom use and whether any of your partners has reported any similar problems in the past or recently.

I hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience. At that time, I will provide more definitive responses and helpful measures to address this.

Awaiting!

This occurred about 3 days ago and I noticed when it initially was developing that it looked like an ingrown hair because it was co located with a hair inside of it. Over the past two days though it has kind of opened up more like a sore. Yes it is painful to the touch and when I use soap on it it kind of burns. I have had one partner for the past year.
Also I do use latex Trojan condems

Brief Answer:
Probably a soft tissue infection!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This is unlikely to be a sexually transmitted infection. This is more of a soft tissue infection. Cleansing with Betadine, keeping it clean and airy to facilitate and accelerate healing. Healing should be complete in 7-10days. If this doesn’t heal fully or regress significantly, I will suggest that we consider re-evaluation.

For pain, Tylenol can help.

Do keep me updated on your progress.

Kind regards

Thank you very much doctor. Today I woke up and there was a green oozy scab that came off of the top of it leaving it just how it was when I sent you the picture. I got ahold of about 25 doxycycline pills 100mg that I never took over seas just in case it is syphilis and I have also been wrapping toilet paper around my penis though out the day.

Brief Answer:
No doxycycline for now. Continue wth cleaning only!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

There is no need taking antibiotics at this time. The presentation is not suggestive of syphilis which is the most common cause of ulcers on the genitals. I will suggest that we go ahead and apply the ongoing measures. Do not hesitate to update me regularly about your progress.

I hope the helps. I do await your updates.

Are you sure doctor it kind of seams like the affected area has gotten much larger also I updated a new picture. What do you think is the cause of this in the first place

Brief Answer:
This sounds significant healing!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have reviewed the last image. The nature of the wound shows significant healing. There is nothing worse despite the fact that it has more irritation around. If it were getting worse, the wound would have gotten bigger and deeper and probably with pus. That is not the case. Rather, there is significant healing.

However, you must continue to cleanse twice daily with an antiseptic such as betadine. Also, avoid keeping it moist/humid as this causes maceration and retards fun recovery.

If you think there has been pus discharge from it, report to me. This way, I will recommend an antibiotic.

I hope to hear from you....
