Question: I have to have a biopsy for prostrate cancer after having a PSA Score of 9.9. I am very anxious and cant calm down but the process until the results will take two weeks which seems like a lifetime at the moment. Is there anything I can take to calm me down and also help me sleep. I havnt slept for three night now since I saw the Urologist. The biopsy is next Wednesday, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
zolpidem 12.5mg can help

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I can understand that you are stressed out due to high PSA value.
You should try to get some rest, as just by thinking and waiting for the report will drain you more..

In my clinical experience I have seen zolpidem 12.5mg very hepful. This gives a refreshing sleep of 6-7 hours and there is usually no post-sleep drowsness. The person wakes up fresh.

Sometimes, for troubling daytime anxiety you can be helped with etizolam 0.5-1mg taken on SOS basis. This is non sedative molecule.

I wish you good health and good luck.

Thanks Doctor,
Are the drugs you mention available across the counter at a chemist or will they have to be prescribed,

Brief Answer:
might need a prescription from a GP

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The sedative and hypnotics are usually not given without prescription but as these are non addictive drugs you may try them on a chemist store.
If the prescription is mandatory in your area then you may ask your GP to write them for you. They are quite harmless.

Please ask more questions if there is any doubt.
