Brief Answer:
It could be anxiety

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

First of all I will suggest you to see a general practitioner or physician for the above complaints. Feeling of burning in the stomach and squeezing and difficulty in swallowing indicates possibility of gastrointestinal disorders.

In case this step already completed and nothing abnormal found we need to explore possibility of anxiety spectrum disorders. These disorders can present in similar manner and often more common during post menopausal period. Feeling of sinking an abyss, feeling of strange body indicates more possibility of anxiety disorders.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.

Yes, I made an appointment with primary. Thanks, I would like to add that there is also numbness on my lips and my breathing sometimes feels forced not labored. Almost as if I have to remind myself to breathe. Maybe it's anxiety as you suggested. Just greatly concerned about the difficult getting past sleeping. Thank you
