Suggest Treatment For Sleep Apnea And Heart Arrhythmia At Night

Question: I have sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine successfully since 2010however this autumn I have experienced heart arythmia always at night I wake up frequently although my apnea score is around my usual one I have had a24hour ecg monitor fitted before Xmas but have been told that although I have extra heart beats this is normal.I don't feel it is normal Also my father had a massive stroke at my ageShould I go back to my GP?

I agree with your doctor when saying that some extra cardiac beats may be just normal.

-a blood gas analysis
-a polysomnography, to examine the severity of sleep apnea.

Besides, you should check with a specialist the CPAP machine function, to be sure that it is OK.
