Have been using sinus rinse daily and my nose doesnt feel as infected but now both of my ears are totally clogged and i am still having sinus pressure and greeen phlegm come out through nose into mouth. I am going to call ent tomorrow and tell her i need CT scan but what else can i do?? I am miserable and desperate to unclog my ears. I feel something is obstructing my sinus on left side.

Brief Answer:
OTC Nasal Decongestion Drops/Sprays. Steam, Hypertonic Saline. I/A, CT.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. Use OTC Nasal Decongestant drops containing 0.01% Xylometazoline (3-4 drops per side twice a day) for a couple of days (not more than a week)
2. Use hypertonic saline nasal rinse instead of the normal isotonic saline for a few days.
3. Regular steam inhalation will help.

Your local pharmacist will know about nasal decongestant and hypertonic saline nasal rinse. Let me know if you have problem while procuring them..

At the ENT's office, you should discuss about a Tympanometry (Impedance Audiometry) test which will reveal the cause of the clogged ears (rule out ear wax first). If you do get the test, upload the the Tympanogram and Sinus CT images for further treatment options.

I hope that I have answered your queries. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
