Brief Answer:
How about changing the trazodone ?

Detailed Answer:
Welcome,

As a neurologist, I can tell you that the use of trazodone is not looked at favorably for several medical reasons such as the phenomenon where many people experience a tolerance to the drug after a short period of time which then, results in having to raise the dose to get the same effect.

After several cycles of this, people begin experiencing the side effects which is primarily drowsiness and difficulty concentrating and paying attention when they need to be on the job, take care of their kids, or drive a car. Also, the medication can cause up to 1/3 of users to experience rather severe headaches.

As far as the procedure you are referring to....if you switch the trazodone and find a substitute to help you sleep and treat your anxiety.......or better yet, DISCOVER what the underlying ROOT CAUSE of why you're not sleeping well could be....depression, anxiety, PTSD, nightmares, etc. then, you can work with the appropriate professional to really work on a LONG TERM SOLUTION to your problem and get INTO THE FUTURE relief instead of using something which has a limited shelf-life due to what I said above.....oh, did I also tell you that it can cause predisposed individuals to experience SEIZURES/CONVULSIONS after they'd been on it even for quite awhile ? I told you that as a neurologist there are at least several reasons why this medication fails to excite us to prescribe it.....unfortunately, internists, GP's, and FP's do happen to prescribe it in large numbers and that's not likely to change in the very near future.

As far as the procedure for genital stimulation....I can't be sure what the NP may be referring to...I'm sure there are a variety of ways to do this such as mechanical devices such as a vibrator but that's probably a pretty obvious option. There is something on the order of a piercing pin that can be attached to a place called the CLITORAL HOOD and when done correctly this is said to enhance stimulation of the clitoris by friction and it is not painful or disturbing to the process of orgasm nor risky to cause injury but it should be attached by an experienced piercing individual/practitioner.
