Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Lisinopril

Question: Hi. I'm taking 20/25 mg of Lisinopril every morning. I just started last Monday and since have had a majority of the bad side effects. (Gastrointestinal problems,Erectile dysfunction, weakness, fatigue, headaches and an increase in my panic attacks, for which I take clonazepam. Should I ask my doctor for a different medication? I am a smoker.

Yes these are some of the side effects of the lisinopril meds. You can surely ask your doctor to change the group of medication.
I would suggest you to change to simpler one like amlodepine 5mg which is a calcium channel blocker or even telmisartan which is angiotensin receptor blocker.
Both above mentioned are equally efficacious like lisinopril.
So you can surely ask your doctor for change in medications.
