Brief Answer:
Anxiety / Essential tremor can be likely causes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

I am Dr. Ajay Panwar, a neurologist, here to answer your query.

Shaking or shivering in legs and hands while doing exercise most commonly is due to generalized heightened anxiety levels.

Other common cause can be
- 'essential tremors'(ET).ET is commonly associated with similar pattern of shakiness in other family members (blood relation)
- Hyperthyroidism
- Drugs
- Alcohol intake

Clinically the possibilities are narrowed down to single condition through detailed medical history and investigations. I do not have enough information from your post to arrive at a cause. In this context, if you would have presented to my outpatient with this complaint, I would have advised you to do mental relaxation exercises and yoga. This will likely bring improvement. If not, medicines like clonazepam or propranolol will help.

If symptoms don't improve upon this-please get 'Thyroid function tests' done and revert back with reports.

Also tell in follow-up,whether you have a significant medicines/drug history?Do you take alcohol?

PLEASE TAKE MEDICINES UNDER A PHYSICIAN'S SUPERVISION.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have follow-up queries, I shall be glad to answer, else please close the thread-rate it and write a review.

Brief Answer:
Please list the medicine you are taking.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for being in follow-up.

Its really good that you are not an alcohol addict.Occasional alcohol intake, unless in binge amount, should not be a reason for tremors/shakiness.

Though you are overweight, but it is not likely to cause tremors/shakiness.Still,its always good to avoid being overweight/obese ,as it is associated with other comorbidities like Diabetes,Hypertension and dyslipidemia.

However, there can be a few situations where obesity and tremors may co-exist.Anxiety is found to be more prevalent in obese people,so it may be a potential cause in your case.

Some drugs may result in an increase in weight and simultaneously may also be a cause of shakiness. Here,I would like you to list the drugs which you are taking for skin and hair fall,so that I may figure out whether one of your medicines is a potential cause for your tremors.

Further and still,I would like you to start doing mental relaxation exercises/yoga and observe for the improvement. If not improved on it,medicines as mentioned above, may be taken, with a physician's guidance.

And finally, you can always revert back with 'Thyroid function tests'.Considering your overweight status, that becomes even more important.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have follow-up queries,I shall be glad to answer, else please close the thread-rate it and write a review.
