Brief Answer:
Neurologist evaluation is necessary as a first step.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Peripheral neuropathy symptoms include pain, weakness and paresthesias ( sensory symptoms such pins and needles ) in the territory that the affected nerve(s) supply.

Symptoms usually start in distal parts of extremities such on fingers of feet and hands.

Diagnosis is achieved by neurological examination by a Neurologist and by tests such nerve conduction study and EMG.

Causes may be several and include diabetes, alcohol use, viral infections, chemicals toxicity, side effects of certain drugs, trauma, etc.

Tinnitus in the other hand, in some cases may indicate ENT, but also neurological disorders.

Most common causes of tinnitus include exposure to loud noises, Ménière's disease, side effects of drugs and neurological conditions such arteriovenous malformations, acoustic neuroma etc.

In my opinion, getting evaluated first by your Neurologist should be the first step in understanding better your condition.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards.
