Question: HI Doctor,
I am 33 years old. 2 days back i was after i came back from jogging i lifted my scooter to place it in a proper place. my lower back started paining afterwards very badly. Right side it was more than the left as i was trying it with my right hand. I could see that my back was shifted to the left. so i applied ice pack every day afternoon and night. i was using megadol from past 2 days daily two to reduce the pain. The pain got reduced and now i am able to get back to my normal position. but I still feel a bit of pain on my both sides. is there anything that i can do to come out of this pain. i feel that there is more pain after i get up after sitting for a long time from chair. it is now on my both sides. can i go back for walking or do i need to take rest for few more days. I am able to do dhanurasana, Piriformis muscle stretching Hamstring muscle stretching and other exercises but i am not going to for walking or jogging as of now. is there any other medicine or tablet u suggest for backpain as of now. i can feel that the pain is moving live waves some times from backbone to left and backbone to right. please help thank u

Brief Answer:
Rest and analgesic are needed .

Detailed Answer:

Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. You are likely to be having muscular pain. Treatment of it is rest and analgesic ( you are already taking megadol). Muscle relaxant such as thiocholcoside is of help. vitamin B and C help in recovery. You are still having pain so you require still rest and avoid walking and jogging.
Second possibility is disc prolapse. It can be distinguished by muscular pain by clinical examination and MRI of lumbar spine. Treatment of it is same but time required for recovery is longer.

You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
