Brief Answer:
Looks like viral illness resulting in wheeze - no need for antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
Hi.... I understand your concern. By what you say I feel that your child might be having wheezing associated with viral illness.

As of now, as the fever has settled, no need to give any regular antibiotic. Please continue asthakind along with paracetamol (only when the fever is more than hundred degrees Fahrenheit).

Please top the antibiotic monocef-o.

I need more information before guiding you further. Please answer the following questions, so that I can guide you better.

Questions:
1. How many days per month does he cough or feel breathless?
2. How many nights per month does his sleep get disturbed due to above symptoms?
3. Does he feel breathless when he plays?
4. Are the symptoms there when there are seasonal changes?
5. Is there any family history of asthma or any other sort of allergies like skin allergy etc.?
6. Is the cough always associated with fever?

He started coughing only after fever subsided. Has cough and cold for 4 days now. no family history of ashtma. guess fever and cold and cough is because of the cold weather. But pls siggest home remedies. Also suggest how many times a day do you suggest giving asthakind-dx. Thanks for your help on this

Brief Answer:
Suggestions on post viral cough

Detailed Answer:
Hi....I understand your concern.

Coming to your queries one by one -

1. If the cough has started after fever or while the fever is subsiding, then mostly it is viral illness, nothing to worry about it.

2. You can give 2.5ml thrice a day of Asthakind-DX for 3 days.

3. Stop Monocef-O.
