Question: Have had a deep dry cough for a week.no temperature or sinus involvement.should I see a doctor or just wait? I am taking 100 mg sinuthyroid once a day. Thyroid was removed April 2015. Followed by a cataract removal. Did have radioactive iodine 50 mg following removal of thyroid. Have tested negative for any cancer. (With whole body iodine therapy and catskan.

Hi Mam

I understand your concern,

This seems to Moderate Severely Viral Pharyngitis.

All you need is a Cough suppressant syrup.

All dry cough has to be suppressed.
For this I advise you to take Syrup Tusq-D twice a day for 10 days.

Antibiotics are not needed at this stage.

Pertaining to thyroid,everything seems clear.
You can continue 100 mg synthyroid.

Consultation with a doctor is needed only if the cough does not suppress in week days with dry cough suppressive therapy.
