Question: Dad is suffering from chronic lymphocytic leukemia and is in treatment for 17 yrs. His blood test reports wbc 39200 platelet 115000 and the absolute eosinophil count is 900 now. wbc - lymp 82 eosi 4 other is 14. He is suffering from severe cold. how do we reduce this absoulte eosinopjil count?

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
He may have some associated illness like allergy, hypersensitivity or asthma.
He should search the cause for eosinophilia and take treatment accordingly. Antihistaminics drugs like chlorpheneremine malate ( avil ) or diethyl carbamazepine is helpful to control absolute eosinophil count.
He should also consult his oncologist for his chemotherapy dose modifications.
