Question: zoloftI am a 2year recovering alcoholic.my doctor put me on klonopin. had to go to new doctor. a week before my appt. I tried pot. showed up in a urine or blood test and the new doctor took me off the medication right away.He has XXXXXXX weening me off for a month and I go see him wed. this has been he worst month of my recovery. is there any chance he will put me back on it? i am not a pot smoker someone said it would calm my nerves if i knew he was gonna take me off of it i would never have tried it. is it wrong for a doctor to take you off a medication that is working well for the patient.Would you recommend Prozac as an alternative.i have a lot of stress and anxiety due to job and divorce and recovery.

Smoking marijuana is grounds to discontinue prescribing a controlled substance such as Klonopin because it is highly dangerous to mix illegal drugs with controlled substances. He will likely not prescribe it to you again. Prozac is an excellent and safer alternative so I suggest you give it a try.
