Question: I'm 70 and I broke 9 ribs (1-9 LHS of my abdomen) 4 years ago (September 2012).

I'm still getting quite a lot of pain from that side of my abdomen and I'm wondering how long it's likely to go on for ??

Brief Answer:
The pain medications need to be adjusted further!

Detailed Answer:
HI,

The best way to address this pain is for your pain doctor to to adjust your medications. No one cannot tell for how long this pain would last be we are able to assure you that the pain can be addressed to better prevent you from feeling any further agonizing pains. Can you ask your doctor to consider re-evaluating your pain and maybe add even a stronger pain medication? Talk to him about this and let us know what the outcome of that visit is.

I wish you well and keep me posted on your progress.
