Question: Hi Doctor,

I got married 1 year back and we are trying for a baby.We have consulted gynacologist doctor and doctor has suggested to done the semen analysis(2 months back) . Based on the report doctor said my semen liquifaction has delayed(Morethan 3 hours) and motility is low due to semen infection and suggested Norflox-TZ(for 5 days) and Carnimed Plus tablets. Second time I have done the semen analysis and still no change in the infection. Then I have taken Doxy-1 L-DR Forte by doctor suggestion. after using for 14 days yesterday I have done semen analysis. Despite using this tablets PUS cell count in semen has increased and delayed Lequifaction is morethan 3 hours but little improvement in motility. I am very much worried about my semen infection. Can you suggest any effective medication to reduce infection of semen.

Doctor also suggested we can for IUI process for pregnency.

Thanks,

Brief Answer:
?prostatitis

Detailed Answer:
hello, your semen infection may require high grade antibiotics. do a culture so that the type of infection can be identified and antibiotic sensitivity can be determined. this means that the best antibiotic for the infection can be given. along with that you should ask your doctor about drugs that many help in increasing motility like fertisure m or gamete 25 etc. but do the culture first.

Hi Doctor,

Thank you for your advice.

We were contacting continuously. So should my wife also need to undergo any infection test?

Kindly advice.

Brief Answer:
Not required

Detailed Answer:
your wife doesn't need tests immediately. this will affect the quality of your sperm. not her eggs. although she should have undergone hormone tests, ultrasound and Hsg to make sure nothing else on her side is wrong.

Hi Doctor,

I have done with Semen Culture and attached the report.

Five days before to the Semen culture I have suffered with Mild fever and nearest area general physician has given some antibiotic medication for 5 days( Foloup-CV antibiotic tablets (Cefpodoxime Proxetil And Potassium Clavulanate) and COEKASTLE-A Tablets). After recovery from fever I have gone for Semen culture (There was one day gap between intercourse and semen culture).

Now my semen culture report showing normal.

Are above mentioned factors reason for normal report?

Should I again to go for semen analysis and culture to rule out infection or any problem?

Brief Answer:
no need for culture

Detailed Answer:
Your culture report will be compromised due to the antibiotic course . Even if there was infection after taking antibiotics the culture report would be normal . However your semen analysis shows low motility . You should do a 3 mth course if CoQ enzyme available in many market brands as Qgold or fertisure M and then repeat the semen analysis . If the motility doesn't improve after 6mths then you may need IUI . At present no need to repeated culture report or analysis.

Brief Answer:
Try it

Detailed Answer:
carnimed plus will help some so try it for 3 mths at least . if the repeat semen analysis is not better than you may try the suggested medicines. to see any result it should be used for at least 3-6 mths .
