Brief Answer:
To rule out sepsis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for your query.
I'm Dr. Shuba Hariprasad and will be answering be answering your query.

Based on your symptoms I would like to check for bacterial infection (sepsis).

Would you clarify a few things for me, please?
# what is your height and weight?
# do you have any other medical issues or take any medications? Like for diabetes, hypertension, for instance?
# how long have you had these symptoms?
# have you checked for fever?
# is it possible for you to send photos?
# how is urine? Colour and quantity?

I recommend :
-a general surgeon or physician consult right away.
-blood tests (complete blood count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, blood culture, liver and kidney function tests, electrolytes, blood glucose panel)
-urine analysis
-doppler study of the blood supply of the legs, if indicated

I urge you to see a doctor as soon as possible. Cellulitis, if not treated promptly can lead to sepsis (spread of infection to blood) and can result in multi organ failure.

Hope this helps.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Wish you good health.

Regards,
Dr. Shuba Hariprasad
