Suggest Treatment For Right Sided Chest Pain

Question: I fell on my stomach and ribs on the 4th of z July.
My right side hurts pretty bad now
I'm concerned if I broke or injured a rib. What do I do

You should do xrays and abdominal ultrasound so you should see doctor for that. I don't think this is serious but rib fracture or liver injury should be ruled out. Wish you good health. Regards

Dr the pain is actually upper right side under my breast and there is no bruising there which is odd. it's just very tender now you still think I should have x-rays after a week it won't heal on its own. just wanted your opinion. thank you.I keep saying upper right and itsee the upper left under my breast it hurts to lay on that side.

Well, even if there is any rib fracture, it won't change anything in treatment approach which is mostly conservative, you need to rest, take good analgetics and breath properly. But it may be helpful to establish diagnosis of fracture since then we will know how long the pain can persist.

In every case, even if this was just contusion, pain will persist for 2-3 weeks..
