Suggest Treatment For Rheumatoid Arthritis, Deformities And Swelling In Joints
Question: My mother is aged 70 and has rheumatoid arthritis since last 40 years. deformities have come in joints. Since she is not leading an active life due to arthritis, she has digestive problems. her joints pain and are swollen. Somebody suggested Evion -LC as supplement. Please suggest.

Well, Could you give me a few more details about the treatment she is on and which all joints are swollen and tender.
1. I would like to know if she is currently on Etanercept or she took it a while ago and stopped?
2. Dose of methotrexate
3. Is she still on Defcort?
4. What are the other medications she has tried? Leflunomide/Saaz/ HCQs
5. How about the early morning stiffness??
6. Currently, which all joints are swollen and tender?
7. Who is looking after her treatment at present? Is it a rheumatologist or an orthopaedic?
Well Evion LC is just a vitamin E tablet. It wont do much good for her joints or her digestive problems. We need to streamline her treatment, so she gets more benefit and less joint pains and less side effects
