Brief Answer:
Provide me details of test perfomed for herpes

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

You have been treated adequately for common causes of urethritis i.e gonorrhea, chlamydia and trichomoniasis.
Burning sensation on micturation can be caused by presence of intraurethral lesions of herpes. Genital herpes is more commonly caused by Hsv-2 however both Hsv-1 and Hsv-2 can cause genital herpes.
What exactly was the test done for herpes? Was it a blood test? If yes, was it IgG Or IgM positive for Hsv-1 virus?

Brief Answer:
I suggest a repeat test for IgM antibodies after about a week

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

IgG positivity indicates that you have an old herpes infection with Hsv-1.
Whether you acquired a new infection from recent sexual contact is not clear from this test. I suggest that you take a repeat test for IgM antibodies against Hsv-1 and Hsv-2, after about a week.
IgM positivity indicates either recent infection Or reactivation of herpes.
