Brief Answer:
This infection is caused due to vaginal humidity mostly

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I saw your photos.

They looks like candidiasis with vaginitis indeed. Candidiasis is a fungal infection which is the one causing the white cheesy discharge, the itchiness and the vaginitis (redness and burning sensation). Woman can get this infection because of the disbalance of the normal bacteria in the vagina, due to obesity, humidity, sometimes trimming of the hair, ect. After you start your treatment, it should need up to 48 hours for you to start getting better.

If you are sexually active I would also suggest that you get treated for the sexually transmitted infections like Chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas and herpes. Candidiasis is not a dangerous infection in the sense that it doesn't spread inside your body, but the ones mentioned above are. So it is important for those to be ruled out.

Hope this is helpful.

Can you identify the cause of the bumps as well? Does it look like it can be genital herpes ?

Brief Answer:
Looks more like folicullitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for the follow up question.

Yes, I saw the bumps.
They look more like folicullitis to me, which is an infection of the hair follicles there.
It can give itchiness and also can cause tenderness of the bumps.

A testing for herpes would rule or confirm it. In this phase where you have vaginitis because of candida, it is difficult to understand if the burning sensation you have it is because of vaginitis or because of a possible herpes.

Hope I have answered your question.

I added a closer look at the bumps this is how they look now, can it still be folicullitis?

Brief Answer:
Vesicles in herpes are close to each other.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Yes, it can still be folicullitis or some other form of bacterial infection. The lesions in herpes are more like vesicles, not bumps and the liquid inside is more clear not pus. Also in herpes the vesicles are close to each other.
