Suggest Treatment For Red And Swollen Eyes While Having Severe Eye Infection

default
Posted on Fri, 10 Jun 2016
Question: My husband has had a severe eye infection going on 3 weeks. At first his eye was red and swollen. He went to his primary care physician who treated him for pink eye. This treatment made it worse. We then went to his ophthalmologist who has been treating him with Tobramycin 4 times a day but has now changed to Pazeo one time per day. He is also using Refresh Optive eyedrops every two hours. It does not appear to be getting better.

Brief Answer:
Red eye

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
There are some more facts we have to know to offer some useful suggestions.
Is there discharge in the morning.
Is there much of itching.
Pazeo indicates that doctor is suspecting allergy.
In on of statements there was dexamethasone also used as drops.Dexamethasone is a much potent anti allergy drop thanPazeo.
I would suggest having oral medication like oral anti allergy tablets like cetrazine once a day at night will be useful.
Oral anti inflammatory tablets will also be useful.
so oral ant allergy tablets and anti inflammatory tablets over and above local drops will help.
