Question: I had a hemorroids banding 5 weeks ago and i recently had an anal sex 3 days ago. i thought things are normal until today. i went to the bathroom and had a check and i think i may have hemorroids back. Is it possible? or may it be just temporarily swollen because of the anal sex?

Brief Answer:
Hemorrhoids recur is possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Yes that is very possible. Especially if not all hemorrhoid were banded 5 weeks ago.
Even if you remove hemorrhoids, still they can recur. Swollen rectum is also possible, however usually it is swollen all around the rectum. So if you have noticed this swelling in one point of the rectum, hemorrhoids seem more possible.

If you are able, please attach a photo of this swelling so I can give more precise answer.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

I can't attach a photo here in this message but If you can have a look on my profile page, there is a picture of it.
Anyway, when i touch the rim of my anus, it feel a pea under my skin and it's painful to touch. is it an external hemorroid? before the banding i just had an internal one but now i think i have both of internal and external because i can feel it prolapsed after BM.
Should i go back to my special list and have another check up? is there anyway to get rid of them? this is quite an issue for my and my partner in our sex life. will i ever be safe to have anal sex again?

Thank you

Brief Answer:
This might be another hemorrhoid.

Detailed Answer:
You should have it checked again for sure. Its possible that the last banding procedure was not successful and some part of hemorrhoids has been left. Prolapse after bowel movement seems to confirm that. As it is painful, there might be a blood clot in the hemorrhoid.
The only way to get rid of them is surgery. However after the surgery hemorrhoids may still come back. Its because anal intercourse is not what rectum was created for.
Its quite safe to have anal sex, but you must be prepared that the problems can become more intense.
