Question: This started with my hair follicles hurting to a light touch but that was the only pain. Now I have a rash and bumps all over the right side of my head and my right forhead. The control muscles from my right eye are painful when I move my eyes back and forth

Brief Answer:
Needs to be looked for herpes zoster

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all, it is sad to know what you had been experiencing lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it can be early sign of herpes zoster involving ophthalmic division of trigeminal nerve. It can start with pain and itching or burning before onset of rash. It can even involve conjunctiva and may also cause eye ball movements painful.

It needs to be reviewed immediately by a skin specialist and an ophthalmologist. If needed topical or oral anti vitals may be needed. Meanwhile you can use OTC analgesics like acetaminophen and anti histamines like cetrizine or loratidine for itching.

If pain is severe more potent analgesics for nerve pains like gaba pentins or duloxetine may be needed.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
