Suggest Treatment For Pimples On The Penis

default
Posted on Thu, 15 Jun 2017
Question: Few days back On my penis when I pushed its skin back and then on the inner down shaft skin(guess that's what we call it) I had a puss/pimple bubble. Which itself got dissolved but has left at that same area only, just like a skin torn wound which gives pain when touched even with a handkerchief. I had applied soframycin there, been over a day now and maybe the pain has got less but still the pain is there when touched or skin is pushed back. I did had unprotected sex few days back but as always I immediately clean my penis's all area with dettol and soap and all body with soap as well. "Please with respect do not give me any frightening news related to this". I don't want to see a doctor personally for this, so if any experienced doctor can tell me a safest light medicine to take so that the skin gets fine and pain goes away is all I want. Will highly appreciate the same.

Brief Answer:
Seems to be herpes genitalis, take antiviral medication

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
I have gone through your complaints as well as reviewed the attached photograph.
It seems to be herpes genitalis which is a sexually transmitted viral disease.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to take antivirals like tablet aciclovir 400 mg thrice daily for 5 days and continue applying soframycin ointment on the affected areas twice daily.
For pain take tablet diclofenac 50 mg.
Antivirals are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get it.

Mam i am scared now as when I google "herpes genitalis" on the right it says "Treatment can help, but this condition can't be cured" and says "Chronic: can last for years or be lifelong" .

I was not sure about the answer given by the previous doctor here as he looked less experienced and as you can see in my question I asked for an experienced doctor, so i just asked healthcare magic to just let me know if what he told me is right by some experienced doctors. But I don't know what healthcare magic did as they just forwarded my question to another doctor and that's how you gave your answer.

Just want to be honest or exactly what is happening.

Anyways previous doctor here(Dr Shinas Hussain) was a general and family physician m.b.b.s from XXXXXXX with 2 yrs of experience mentioned as I check his profile. He told me that it doesn't look like a sexually transmitted disease to him. Said like skin abrasion that developed following a forceful sexual activity. Other possibility is minor skin infection like folliculitis, pus filled bubble. And asked me to take azithromycin, so i just have taken 1 azax500 for now and he also told me to apply topical antibiotic ointments like mupirocin, so I have applied to the area as well, and when I applied it I felt the mild pain on wound like it is really doing its work, like as dettol also gives pain so like that but mild. And really pain is like gone there now even when i push the skin back to see the wound area(i havn't touched and checked and don't want to).

Please kindly clarify should I be worried if this is "herpes genitalis" ?! Like can this harm my immune repairing system ?! or anything?!

If I take aciclovir 400 mg thrice daily for 5 days and continue applying soframycin ointment on the affected areas twice daily, will or can this be gone forever as if it is herpes genitalis? Because I am not even married yet.

Or with all due respect to what you told me, can the previous doctor also be right and should i try out his medications first for three day as he said?

Brief Answer:
Seems to be herpes most likely though other possibilities can't be excluded

Detailed Answer:
According to your complaints it seems to be herpes genitalis most likely.
You can take tablet aciclovir 400 mg thrice daily for 5 days.
It should seem to resolve if it is herpes genitalis.
Herpes won't impair your immune system but it is a chronic disease and can recur.
For confirmation you can go for laboratory test for herpes.
The test is ELISA for Herpes simplex virus 1 and 2.
Even the possibility of it being skin abrasion and folliculitis is there but it is unlikely.

So mam after taking aciclovir 400 mg I hope there will be no after effects? Like if it first takes care of it and later after somedays or years worsen the same problem or react or anything like that? Just have some misconceptions as have never taken such medicine before.

Should I remain worried for my entire life by this or as you said will resolve so will this hopefully cure it and never come back again ? As i told you on google it said it can't be cured.

Or is it not a big thing, like when it happens just I take right medicines and forget it for a long time ?

Can the dose be less?! As I dont want to take 3 times a day. Or is it a safe and light normal medicine? Still if the dose can be less then let me know.

Will highly appreciate detailed answers on all my questions asked please as I am worried.

Brief Answer:
Take aciclovir 400 mg thrice daily, doesn't have much side effects

Detailed Answer:
You need to take aciclovir 400 mg thrice daily as otherwise the response won't be adequate.
It doesn't have much side effects.
Herpes genitalis is a chronic disease and it is not curable.
Whenever you get an episode of herpes you will have to take aciclovir.
But it is not a very serious disease and doesn't have much complications.
