Brief Answer:
betamethasone less likely to help in cure

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic.

I guess you are having following symptoms to diagnose yourself having phimosis like
-inability to pull back foreskin
-bulging at tip during urination
-pain may be there

I would suggest you to consult a surgeon and get operated for phimosis after confirming diagnosis by clinical examination.

Betamethasone is less likely to help you because
- at your age fore skin will be thick and phimosis at your age is mostly due to infection.
-since it is a steroid chances of increasing the severity of existing infection is more.
-the narrower the foreskin it is difficult to resolve by betamethasone.

Betamethasone is mainly useful in children whose foreskin will be thin and phimosis is due to fibrosis not infection.

Hope I have answered your query . If any further queries are there I would love to help .
