Question: I am a Male Patient. My age is 51 years. I am suffered to PAROTID TUMOR.It is enlarged in size.It is measuring 33X20MM. Please suggest as I am going to treatment Or surgery.

Mixed parotid tumor is the most common tumour(60%) of the parotid gland and surgery is the mainstay of treatment.I were to remove the superficial tumor tissue of the gland as far as possible without disturbing the rest, since the nerve supplying your muscles of face traverses through the deep part of this gland gets damaged if the entire tumour is excised.Post operative radiation is suggested depending on the pathology report.

Tumour cannot be cured with medication and surgery is the only option.Nothing to panic.It is usually harmless.
