Brief Answer:
Oral wart.. Consult an ENT specialist...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting th query

I have examined the photo thoroughly and I am of the opinion that it is a oral wart than a papilloma. It can be secondary to HPV, but can be confirmed with excision biopsy.

Even though majority of the warts resolve on its own, it would be wiser to get it excised and send for histopathology.

I would suggest you to consult an ENT specialist rather than a dentist.

Hope I have answered your query; I'll be available for the follow up queries.

Thank you very much for your answer. I discovered genital warts last month and went to the doctor. So probably it's related to hpv. What is the difference between oral wart and papiloma? Oral wart is a condilloma?
I'm so afraid with this. Can I already have oral cancer?
Thanks for your attention (i'm going to meet my ENT in a week)

Brief Answer:
Do not worry! It doesn't look like cancer...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for writing back

Yes, it could be related to HPV.

1. Wart is an excess amount of keratin, deposited on the top skin layer (epidermis). Warts vary in appearance and may develop singly or in clusters. Warts are non-cancerous, but can resemble certain cancers.

2. A papilloma is a benign epithelial tumor growing exophytically (nipple-like or finger-like projections). A raised wart is also known as papilloma.

Do not worry! The picture doesn't look like a cancerous growth.

Hope this clarifies your doubts. Wish you good health.

Thank you again. Once I only have my appoitment with my ENT on 14th september, I'd like to ask one more question. If it is an oral wart, is it normal to have an inflammation in the area and a sensation of burning when using Eludril?

Kind regards
