Question: i was on effexor xr for 12 yrs i have now been off it for 2 months because it didnt have the same effecrs as it once did. the med im taking now doesnt seem to be working in the same way. i still have panic anxiety and feelings of depression. i am going through some great stressors but shouldnt it be helping me manage. anyway my question is being off effexor xr could ot work again in the same way if I wanted to go back on it ?

Yes. When going back on a medication that was previously successful, there is no reason to believe it won't be successful again. It sounds like 2 months ago it wasn't as successful as previously...at that point I would've tried increasing your dose rather than switching medications.
