Brief Answer:
Slipped disc needs to be ruled out

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting the question.
I have gone through your medical history in detail.

From the history and symptoms that you have stated,it seems more likely to be a slipped disc compressing a nerve in the lumbar spine. This causes radicular pain in the hamstring region while walking / going downstairs etc.

Although hamstring muscle injury also can cause this, but this seems more of a nerve related pain.

I would advice you to take analgesic ,muscle relaxant tablets for 3 days with application of local gel and hot fomentation.

If the pain does not reduce, then you need to consult an orthopedist and get a Xray / MRI of Lumbar spine done.

I hope the answer was useful.

Feel free to ask me any follow up queries that you may have.

Thank you.
Kind regards.
