Suggest Treatment For Pain And Pimple On The Testicles
Question: Hello doctor, My name is XXXXXXX IM 25 yrs old, last yr i got some pain in both of testis followed by a small pimple like boil formation on right side., i consulted a doctor, he said it is testicular filariasis and pescribed DEC and albendazole., i used it for 21 days meanwhile i got swelling on my right leg foot., the swelling is nt that big on my right foot and also there is no swelling in my scrotal sac or testis.. But i experienced a small pain even after the treatment is finished., after 3months i got small boil on left side near side of left testis followed by pain in left testis the doctor again prescribed DEC for 20days., after that my testis pain is reduced.. it is fine for another 3mnths., Nw since 3days im getting small pain on my left testis.. there is no swelling bt a small swelling was remained on my right foot since the time when treatment started., So doctor im worried why im getting pain again nd again, can u plz suggest me anything regarding treatment. I would like to know some details before I can answer your question with full knowledge:
-Where do you reside ? Is this the area known to have filariasis ?
Or did you visit any area where filariasis is known to be present ?
-What are the investigations done till today ? Please post the reports as attachments to this question as YYYY@YYYY
- Any other treatment taken till now ?
-Are the toes of right foot swollen or absolutely normal ?
I would advise you the following:
-Let us understand that we have to have the proper diagnosis.
-Consult an Urologist. He would have clinical evaluation, actual physical examination and correlate with the past history of disease, medications and investigations.
-Tests of the urine and blood.
-Color doppler of the right lower limb.
-Ultrasonography and color doppler of the scrotum and the abdomen.
All these things will help us to get a proper diagnosis and correlation so that a proper treatment can be instituted.
