Suggest Treatment For Numbness In Rib Cage

default
Posted on Thu, 21 Jan 2016
Question: I have the numbness under my right rib cage. It started in late August - first felt like something was growing on the bone where my bra rested and there was a tightening almost sore. That was uncomfortable. Later the feeling has been a numbing and goes from my rib cage around towards my back. My doctor examined me in Nov. and could feel nothing. Does a cyst usually grow on the rib cage? Could this be a sign of diabetes

Generally in good health, except allergies and asthma - not severe. Taking Zertec at night and Advair (150/100) twice daily and Pro-air when absolutely necessary. I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic approx. 1 year ago. I sometimes get severe cramping in one or both of my legs (upper portion - thighs/calf muscles). Usually take yellow mustard or apple cider vinegar to ease the contractions.

Brief Answer:
Fasting blood sugar and HbA1c testing.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Wxxxxxxxx
Thanks for being in follow-up and providing further details.

Diabetes can cause nerve damage, thus resulting in these complications.I suggest you to track your present status of Diabetes and also how it had been in past few months.
So,please get fasting blood sugar and glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c).

Meanwhile, please start taking a combination of pregabalin and methylcobalamin.I hope to see you improving with this.

PLEASE TAKE MEDICINES UNDER A PHYSICIAN'S GUIDANCE ONLY.
