Brief Answer:
Neuropathy with allergic bronchitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having throat issues.

Based on your clinical details, It appears to be allergic bronchitis secondary to allergic rhinitis. Your neck numbness could be due to age related neuropathic changes secondary to cervical spondylosis.

Your symptoms are clearing with albetrol - bronchodilator and nasocart- is a steroidal spray used for allergic rhinitis with bronchitis.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions

The symptoms clear when I use the albuteral but they do not go away.
If its allergic bronchitis will the symtoms go away with time
Also what is allergic bronchitis.I smokes for eight years but quit March 2015. Could that be whats causing the restricted airways. Should I see a pulmonary speciaist

Hello again,

Thanks for considering my answer and for your follow up.

Answers for your queries.

1. Acute bronchitis may causes hacking cough and phlegm production occurs with environmental allergens (animal dander, pollen, smoking (active/passive), mold and dust). Repeated attacks of acute bronchitis, which weaken and irritate bronchial airways over time, can result in chronic bronchitis.

2. Quitting the smoke will definitely improves your symptoms. I, feel your symptoms are due to allergy.

3. You need x-ray chest, Spirometry, Peak expiratory flow, blood tests (absolute eosinophilic count, serum IGE) and if necessary CT scan of lungs.

4. Yes. You need to see a chest physician or ENT surgeon or pulomologist in case of persisting symptoms.

Hope, I have answered your query.

All the best. Take care.
