Brief Answer:
Malaria is possible.

Detailed Answer:
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), all of XXXXXXX has the risk of malaria except for Dhaka. Overall, however, the risk for XXXXXXX travelers is low. The type of malaria in XXXXXXX is resistant to the drug Chloroquine so the CDC recommends malarial preventive drugs atovaquone-proguanil (mellarone), doxycycline, or mefloquine.

Symptoms of malaria typically develop between 10 days and 4 weeks after exposure. So if you are having symptoms of shaking chills, high fever, muscle aches, profuse sweating, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, and headache, then there is the chance that you might have malaria.

Some of the symptoms you described can happen with common gastroenteritis infections we have here in the U.S. such as Norovirus, but usually don't include high fever or profuse sweating.

Given your recent international travel to an area that does have malaria, I think at this point to play it safe, you should be evaluated promptly. I suggest you go in to an ER. Be sure to tell the ER doctor that you were in XXXXXXX which does have malaria.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further clarification or information on this topic.
