Question: If loratadine was taken last night around 8 pm can dime tap be used this am to relieve stuffiness in a 5 yr old

Loratadine is an anti allergic,anti histamine. It's half life is about 5-15 hours and that is the reason it is usually given once a day.
Dimetapp contains another antihistamine named brompheniramine along with decongestant.
So as already it's been more than 20 hours and also dimetapp contains a different antihistamine you may this.Dimetapp is a prescription medicine so please get it prescribed by a physician.
