Question: My son was in an automobile accident Sunday. Head trauma that resulted in multiple maxillary teeth fractures and fractures of the maxillary alveolar bone. He has been to an oral surgeon and had surgery for those issues. A CT of the head was done at the ER on Sunday and nothing was noted. But today and yesterday he has had headaches and today dizziness. Should we go to ER or is this normal?

Brief Answer:
Yes, go to ER

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

There are chances of delayed bleeding from an injured blood vessel which can present as headache a day or two after the accident.

I recommend you to take him to ER where they can examine him and also may ask for a repeat scan.

Wish you good health.

Regards,
