Brief Answer:
looks like working memory loss ..can be treated with drugs

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

After reading your query I can see that you have an issue with your working memory. It is a common clinical presentation and usually we see people of >65yrs of age having it. This is mosy likely dementia - senile.
In this patient comlaints of short term memory loss- cant remember what is said to him few minutes ago; where he kept his belongings just an hour ago, etc. Past life events are genarally normally remebered.

If this is disturbing the patient life or working significanlty -I try to give medicines.
However, the medicine is only for witholding the disease and cannot cure it . With time there will be some decline in the memory, but that will be far less if the person takes medicine.

You may discuss the above points with your family doctor and start the drug. If you want I can also guide you with them and you may discuss with your treating team at your place.

P.S. what is your predominant mood otherwise? The same presentation can be seen in anxiety disorder.

Hope the reply is useful for you
Wish you good health!
