Experiecing a lot of angina, back pain and high blood pressure. Am on Altace 10 mgs and spitonolactone25 mg. Am highly allergic to statins and allergic to all thiazides., Inderal, Atacand, and Monopril,. Brief Answer:
Yes Plavix is the answer.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HealthCare Magic. Thank you for posting your query. I can understand your concern.

Do not worry. WIth medical sciences advancing in leaps and bounds ,there are plenty of options these days.

Plavix or clopidogrel can be definitely one of the options. There are others as well like Prasugrel ,Cangrelor ,Dipyridamole, Abciximab to name a few. But one of these antiplatelet drugs is a must to reduce the clot formation and prevention of a heart attack. Your doctor can guide you on the most appropriate drug and dosage after considering the benefits and adverse effects.

I think your doctor must have prescribed you some nitrates like sorbitrate that you can take whenever you feel a tightness in the chest.

Continue to take Altace and spironolactone to take care of your blood pressure. It would have been great had I known your exact Blood pressure levels.

Do not be so anxious. Have a balanced diet consisting of vegetables ,fruits. Drink plenty of water. Try to do some physical exercise for atleast 20 minutes a day. This will keep you fit.

Keep in touch with your doctor.

Hope this helps.
