Question: I banged my head, back top about 4 weeks ago. As lump is almost away but still very sore to the touch, small lump left. Is this timescale normal, feels tender

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Times of healing may vary somewhat between different individuals. In most individuals it should have fully regressed actually. However since you say it's almost away, so progressively decreasing, I don't think it is a motive for concern.
In such an issue such as a lump after a head trauma, our concern is the (rare) danger of developing a local infection. If that was the case manifestations should have a progressive worsening, not decreasing in size but staying the same or swelling even more, with increasing pain and fluctuating to the touch. This doesn't seem to be your case and I am positive it will heal completely in its own time.
Only if the above features appear (swelling increasing, more painful, fluctuant on touch, fever) should you worry and seek medical attention.
