Suggest Treatment For Low Libido While On BP Medications
Question: Hello I am XXXXXXX XXXXXXX I have libido low sex drive since 2011.Doctor has prescribed STY-M ayurvedic medicine.From last week I have taken that 2 times that is for 7 days.But no improvement in libido erection is also weak.can you please suggest any other ayurvedic medicine.Age 34.Weight 98 kg,height 5 foot 8 inches.

i. Your testosterone level? Low testosterone level decreases sexual desire/libido
ii. Any medications especially blood pressure [like beta blockers/ace inhibitors]
iii. Any history of depression and taking antidepressant particularly SSRI [selective serotonin uptake inhibitors]
iv. Any sleep disorder/ unusual mental/physical stress [mainly erectile dysfunction]?
v. Any addiction to alcohol/smoking?
vi. Any chronic illness: diabetes,kidney problem?
vii. Any marital disharmony?
Do revert back with your concern for further line of treatment

1. All you mentioned drugs like:
. met xl 25 (metoprolol) is a beta blocker
. other drugs are SSRI's and some are anti psychotics which as suggested in previous answer (point ii & iii) could be the cause of your sexual dysfunction since all these medicine cause loss of libido and this possibly is the reason that no natural medicine is showing its efficacy on your body/system.
2. So get back to your attending physician and let him know about your sexual condition so that he can suggest some other safe alternative to your present prescription only then I can proceed further.
