Brief Answer: Satrogyl is not needed. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. The mild loose stools that you are having are common after a viral infection or a throat infection. This does not need an antibiotic therapy like Satrogyl immediately. This normally clears up on its own. Do take a bland diet, with no milk, black tea with lemon, and curd rice/khichdi with curd, and ripe bananas for a couple of days. Drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. You can take probiotics to bring your gut flora back to normal. Get your stool examined and if it indicates infection or you are not better in five days, see your doctor for a course of antibiotics. You can meanwhile take Lomotil twice a day along with the diet I have suggested. Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have. Wishing you good health. Regards. Dr. Rakhi Tayal. For future query, you can directly approach me through my profile URL http://bit.ly/Dr-Rakhi-Tayal

Brief Answer: Avoid the causes. Detailed Answer: Hello. Thanks for writing again. You need some dietary restrictions to overcome indigestion. 1. Increase the amount of fluid you drink, especially water. Avoid carbonated drinks tea coffee and alcoholic beverages. 2. Foods that commonly cause gas are: Broccoli, Brussels, sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Corn, Potatoes, Wheat & lactose. Try to reduce intake. The amount of gas that different foods cause varies from person to person. 3. Avoid swallowing air. Swallowing air may increase your symptoms. 4. Eat slowly. Avoid gulping food or beverages. When you rush through meals or eat on the run, you are more likely to swallow air. 5. Chew your food thoroughly before you swallow. 6. Avoid drinking through a straw. 7. Avoid chewing gum or eating hard candy. 8. Do not smoke or use other tobacco products. In the mean time, Use of OTC medications mentioned below can be used to have some relief. 1. Activated charcoal (Charcocaps) , will absorb the excess gas produced. 2. Antacids, such as Digene-Gel, Maalox Anti-Gas, and Mylanta Gas, allow gas to be belched away more easily. 3. Food enzymes, such as Beano, Aristozyme which help break down the sugars found in vegetables and grains, can be added to foods that cause you to have gas. Hope my answer is helpful. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish you good health. Regards
