Brief Answer:
Retinoic acid cream should help.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have goen through your query and have checked the attached images. The problem seems to be due to acne. They usually occur due to hormonal cause. Unless your daughter is planning for pregnancy she should benefit from applying retinoic acid cream topically over the affected areas. She should also wash her face frequently with normal water.

Let me know if I could help further.

Dear Dr. Saha,

We think it is a bacteria because it is coming out also in other areas in the body other than the face.

What type of doctor should we go see here in Miami? What specialty? I don't think that dermatologists would know enough as it is coming from inside.
Some people are telling me to put her on juice only for 3 days to clean her system.
Please let me know,
Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Questions answered one by one.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

It is indeed coming from inside and the balance of hormones in the blood gets altered. The resultant excessive sebaceous secretions also attract bacteria and it is the bacterial infections that lead to scarring.

Dermatologists are the best doctors to address your concern. Such a presentation is fairly common and dermatologists have a good understanding of the ailment. In case you do not want to see a dermatologist, you can visit your primary care physician (PCP).

You definitely need to give her plenty of water and fluids to drink. Juice intake will naturally increase the fluid intake and should help. But drinking plain water would also suffice.

Dr. XXXXXXX

I think it's an infection that developed & spread or was exacerbated from her picking on it because she also had it under her nails. My daughter says she feels that its under her skin and that it comes and goes.

I am searching for a top medical doctor here in XXXXXXX to help us get to the bottom of the problem.
