Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

Sciatic inflammation is not uncommon with truck drivers, as you probably know, and can make sitting in the truck for long periods difficult.

If you can, I would strongly advise going for physical therapy to stretch the regional muscles so that they do not put pressure on the sciatic nerve.

Also, if you wear your wallet on the side that you have sciatica, that can increase the pressure on the sciatic nerve. If possible, don't wear it in your back pockets at all.

Yes, it is important to keep hydrated. The leg cramps, depending on which muscles they are located in, may very well be from sciatic nerve inflammation. And the physical therapy exercises for sciatica may help the leg cramps.

I hope this information helps and that you are soon feeling better.
