Brief Answer:
You need to get MRI

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that you might be having cervical lymphadenitis. In this condition there is painful enlargement of cervical lymphnode. This causes pain and swelling. It is good to get MRI to confirm cause of this enlargement and also it will help us to see if there is nerve compression.
I would also suggest you to get needle test as some time this can also help. This is caled FNAC. There is no need to anesthesia and it is very sensitive and specific.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. let me know if there is any other followup questions. thanks
