default
Posted on Fri, 22 May 2015
Question: Hi, I've noticed an itchy red dots around my ankles that come and go. I can't figure out anything that this would be from. Sometimes they don't itch and other times they do. No puss, no sores, not raised. I was hiking quite a bit but haven't for at least a month. I've noticed this off and on since about November timeframe... the only other thing I do is jiu jitsu/wrestling on a mat.

No one else in family has. Yes can touch very very slight w fingers. Has been occurring on and off since November. Sometimes itches and sometimes doesn't. No allergies or health conditions. Never experienced this in the past.

Also have joint aches and muscle tension that seems abnormal for a 34 year old.

Brief Answer:
most probably allergic response

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank you for getting back with the answers. There is high possibility that rash was in response to allergic reaction. If i were your treating doctor then i would have advised following things:

- cetirizine one at night for 4 days
- try not to scratch the area else it might leave scar.
- naproxen thrice a day for 2 days.

Hopefully you will see improvement in 2-3 days but rash will take a while to regress. If condition remains same or aggravates then you need to visit hospital for further workup.

Feel free to get back for if you have any query. If not then don’t forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you a good health
