Question: I would like to know what is the treatment for Insertional tendinopathy with peritrochanteric edema of the left hip ? And would this condition be a reason for low back pain that started around the same time as the onset of said condition

Insertional tendinopathy is a condition that affects the tendons at the point where they meet with the bones. Unfortunately, there is no one time magical cure for this but rather a longterm control of symptoms. This consists in using pain medications like Ibuprofen, diclofenac, Tylenol, etc., Physical therapy, Ice or heat packs, regular gentle exercises, etc. These measures would help control the pains. Treatment evaluation would help to guide and orient future management options and modifications.This condition can cause pain the moves to other areas of the body depending on the exact structures and nerves affected. This could be why you also have back pain.
