Suggest Treatment For Increased Lymphocyte Count

default
Posted on Mon, 11 Jul 2016
Question: I have MS and have been on Tysabri for 4+ years...no outward side affects. I do, however, have an increased lymphocyte count of 5500. My total WBC is normal and the other white cells are within normal range. My
question is about long term affects of the high lymphocyte count? Should I be worried about this? If so, please explain.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry much about that.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone though your question. I can understand your concern.

Your lymphocytes count is higher then normal.
But your total WBC count is normal.

So most of the time it is normal variation and nothing to worry much about that.

There is rare possibility of early chronic lymphocytic leukemia is there. In CLL also there is high lymphocytes count.

You should repeat your complete blood count after one month.

Nothing to worry about that right now.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. wish you a very good health.
