Suggest Treatment For Hoarse Voice And Sore Throat

Question: I had a stuffed artichoke last night and within an hour I had horseness in my voice. I continue to have a hoarse voice and what appears to be laryngitis. Voice seems to be getting worse and appear to be developing a slight sore throat as well. Would any allergy medication help?

Hi,

I have reviewed your information fully. This looks like an allergy.I will rather recommend that you get prednisolone. If you cannot lay hands on this right away, then continue with Benadryl until you get it. Prednisolone would be a better medication over benadryl in this case.

Throat beginning to hurt constantly, and even when I swallow, would taking another dose of Benydryl help? Or XXXXXXX other over the counter medication you can recommend?

Ibuprofen for pain. Benadryl will not help with pain!

Hi,

I will suggest you go with Ibuprofen 400mg every 8hours. While you might continue with benadryl, it has no pain controlling capacity.
