Question: My daughter, 23 yrs of age, started cefdinir this past Thursday, for tonsillitis, self diagnosed this time.
She has also taken levocetrizine because of a reaction, hives. Now her entire body has been engulfed with
hives and woke her out from her sleep. Unable to breathe right. What can I do for her?

Brief Answer:
Allergic reaction

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms,

Your daughter seems to be suffering from a severe allergic reaction since she is suffering from difficulty to breath .
This is a possible side effect of cefdinir but it needs to be treated urgently to avoid the side effect of anaphylactic shock.
You need to stop the cefdinir and please take her to the hospital as soon as possible to receive dexamethasone and avil injections to abort the allergic reaction.

I hope I answered your question. if you don't have any other clarifications then please close the discussion .
