Question: my son of 4 year old suffering from high fever every 6 hrs after administration of IMOL prescribed by doctor.He is under Azee antibiotic for his sore throat but no improvements observed for past 4 days

Brief Answer: relax. Detailed Answer: Hi. Thanks for your query. I understand your concern. I suggest you : -record temperature every 4 to 6 hourly. -give acetaminophen 15mg/kg body weight if fever is above 100F. -give meftal p dose 4 to 6 mg/ kg 12 hourly. Since fever is there after antibiotic there is more than 72 hours.,I suggest you to get him re examined by pediatrician.as change of antibiotic may be required . In the meantime give plenty of fluids and soft bland diet so as to maintain dehydration and nutrition. Hope I have answered your query . Let me know If I cam help further.
